Saturday morning, Ahmi and Tess loaded up for their whirlwind trip east to their excited owners. Jennifer (owner/driver) and her father arrived here at CGAT about 11ish in the morning. We filled water buckets, took care of paperwork and then led the fillies into what would be their home for the next few days.
Tess is in front and Ahmi is with me.
Tess hopped in so quickly that Alex didn’t have a chance to take a photo of her. Ahmi was a bit more tentative.
A little bit of bribery (grain) and she was in. Tess barely looked up from the hay.
Then, they were on their way!
Joel and Jennifer (the girl’s owners) posted updates to Facebook and Joel called on Monday to let me know Tess had arrived safely and was settled in already. Ahmi still has some travelling to do, but will probably arrive in Tennessee sometime tomorrow.
