Mahri – Astrachan x Mirija – 2008 filly, 15/16ths AT
Mahri is the last foal in a long line of Astrachan x Mirija offspring. All her siblings are useful, easy-going sporthorses, with a variety of careers- from A-rated show jumping, to eventing, to school horse, to trail horse.
Her dam, Mirija, was 1/8 Hanoverian, and she passed on her smooth gaits with a a bit more up and down action than a purebred Teke.
Mahri has a nice trot that is easy to sit, a good trail walk and a lovely, balanced canter. She is forward and sporty, but also extremely level-headed. She is great all-rounder, and she shows a real affinity for trail obstacle work and other tasks. Her ground manners make her easy to be around at all times.
Mahri has attended a competitive trail obstacle event as a companion to gain exposure. As it turned out, she got a lot more exposure than bargained for when a thunderstorm turned the ride into a real adventure. Guess who didn’t bat an eyelash?

She is a little over 15.1 hands, an easy keeper and has always been barefoot, booted for the trails.
